In August 2025, we invited fans to pack their (virtual) bags and journey to a place where hamburgers sprout from patches, apple pies ripen in the sun, and the sky glows with the pink clouds of Mt. McDonaldland. Our mission? Use paid digital media to make this whimsical destination unmissable.
Through an integrated plan across all audience segments — with multicultural insights at its core — we guided Gen Z and millennial “tourists” into McDonaldland’s immersive Horizon Worlds experience. There, they could wander crunchy fry-lined paths, hear the sizzle of a Quarter Pounder on the grill, and sip a frosty Mt. McDonaldland Shake as the volcano bubbled in the distance.
Every touchpoint was designed to feel like a vacation for the senses — bright visuals, playful soundscapes, and interactive challenges that brought the fantasy to life. By linking the digital journey to the limited-time McDonaldland Meal, collectible tins, and exclusive merch drops, we bridged virtual wonder with real-world cravings.
The result? A paid campaign that turned curiosity into clicks, clicks into exploration, and exploration into in-store visits — proving that in McDonaldland, the trip is just as magical as the destination.
